Hello everyone! Im Hannah and thank you for visiting my blog. I hope you can get some information here and I hope it will be useful to you.
According to the Department of Sociology at the University of North Carolina, Sociology is
an exciting and illuminating field of study that analyzes and explains
important matters in our personal lives, our communities, and the world. At the
personal level, sociology investigates the social causes and consequences of
such things as romantic love, racial and gender identity, family conflict,
deviant behavior, aging, and religious faith. At the societal level, sociology
examines and explains matters like crime and law, poverty and wealth, prejudice
and discrimination, schools and education, business firms, urban community, and
social movements. At the global level, sociology studies such phenomena as
population growth and migration, war and peace, and economic development. The
traditional focuses of sociology include social stratification, social class,
socialmobility, religion, secularisation, law, sexuality and deviance. As all
spheres of human activity are affected by the interplay between social
structure and individual agency, sociology has gradually expanded its focus to further
subjects, such as health, medical, military and penal institutions, the
Internet, education, and the role of social activity in the development of
scientific knowledge.
Reflection
Sociology gave out many terms and concept about society in general. In this assignment, I have to find a picture which demonstrates one concept talked about in class and explain why I chose it. The concept that I analyze for this assignment is organic solidarity, which is a society based on specialized division of labor where people depend on each other to survive. I picked this concept due to how common it is in daily life among many different fields of profession. Specifically, a band playing at a concert exemplify this concept through not only the members of the band playing different instruments to produce music but also the combine jobs of the band itself, manager, set designer, technical engineers controlling the lights and owner of the venue to make the concert come together.
What I took away from this assignment is that society cannot function without a division of work. The concert in the picture wouldn't be possible if any of the following workforce isn't involved with the development of it. Tolerance to others differences, as far as I see from this assignment, is the key to a functioning society where different professions have a certain importance in a society's success.

Expectations
My
expectation in sociology is that I hope that me and my classmates will learn
together in unity and hoping too that me and my classmates will enjoy this
lesson. Hope that my teacher will be good to us and be more approachable and
understanding. And also in class? Hoping that our knowledge in this will last
as the time pass.
